Maayong buntag mga igsoon ko diha ni Cristo!

Ania na kita sa Ika-upat nga Domingo sa Adbiyento ug karon usab mao ang ikatulo nga adlaw sa Misa de Gallo.

Ang unang pagbasa gikuha gikan sa Basahon Propeta Isaias. Dinhi atong madungog ang pagpahinumdom ni Propeta Isaias ngadto kang Ahaz nga ang Dios maghatag og timaan sa atong kaluwasan.

Ang ikaduhang pagbasa gikuha gikan sa Sulat ni San Pablo ngadto sa taga-Roma. Dihi gipasabot ni San Pablo nga siya gipili sa Dios nga iyang Agalon.

Ang ebanghelyo gikuha gikan sa Ebanghelyo sumala ni Mateo. Kini nagsaysay sa pagmabdos ni Birhen Maria sa lalang sa Espiritu Santo ug sa pagdawat ni Jose nga mamahimong Amahan ni Jesus, ang Bugtong Anak sa Dios.

Manindog kita alang sa pagsugod sa Santos nga Eyukaristiya.

BASAHON I

Is. 7:10-14

KINUTLO GIKAN SA BASAHON NI PROPETA ISAIAS

Misulti pag-usab ang Ginoo kang Acas, "Pangayog milagro sa imong GINOONG DIOS, bisag kini adto sa kinahiladman sa Seol, o sa kinatumyan sa langit."

Apan miingon si Acas, "Dili ako mangayo, ug dili ko sulayan ang GINOO."

Ug miingon si Isaias, "Busa pamati, O banay ni David! Dili pa ba igo ang imong pagsamok sa mga tawo, nga imo na man usab nga samokon ang Dios? Busa ang GINOO gayod mohatag ka- nimog timaan, ug kini mao ang usa ka batan-ong dalaga manamkon ug moanak og usa ka lalaki, ug nganlan siyag Emmanuel.

R. Pasudla ang Ginoo kay siya ang Hari sa himaya.

Sa Ginoo ang yuta ug ang iyang kapuno; ang kalibutan ug sila nga nagpuyo niini. Kay iya kining gitukod ibabaw sa kadagatan, ug iya kining gibuhat ibabaw sa kasubaan.

R. Pasudla ang Ginoo kay siya ang hari sa himaya.

Kinsay makatungas sa bukid sa Ginoo? o kinsay makabarog sa iyang balaang dapit?

Siya kansang mga kamut walay mga sala kansang kasingkasing malinis, siya nga wala magtinguha sa mga butang nga makawang.

Makadawat siya og panalangin gikan sa Ginoo, ganti gikan sa Dios nga iyang manluluwas.

Rom. 1:1-7

ANG SINUGDANAN SA SULAT NI SAN PABLO NGADTO SA TAGA-ROMA

Gikan kang Pablo nga ulipon ni Cristo Jesus, gipili pagka-apostol, ug gitawag sa Dios aron magwali sa Maayong Balita.

Ang Maayong Balita dugay nang gisaad sa Dios pinaagi sa iyang mga propeta, ug gisulat diha sa Balaang Kasulatan. Mahitungod kini sa iyang Anak, ang atong Ginoong Jesucristo: sa iyang pagkatawo, kaliwat siya ni David; sa iyang espirituhanong pagkabalaan gipadayag siya nga Anak sa Dios uban sa dakong gahom pinaagi sa iyang pag- kabanhaw. EBANGHELYO

Mt 1:18-24

Kinutlo gikan sa Balaan nga Ebanghelyo sumala ni Mateo

Ug mao kini ang kaagi sa pagkatawo ni Jesucristo. Sa diha nga ang iyang inahan nga si Maria sinayoran na kang Jose, sa wala pa sila magtipon, nakaplagan nga nagsabak siya sa lalang sa Espiritu Santo.

Apan si Jose nga iyang bana, sanglit matarong nga tawo ug dili buòt nga pakaulawan siya, nagtinguha nga biyaan siya sa hilom. sanglit matarong nga tawo ug dili buòt nga pakaulawan siya, nagtinguha nga biyaan siya sa hilom.

Apan, samtang naghunahuna siya niini, adunay usa ka anghel sa Ginoo mipakita kaniya pinaagi sa damgo ug miingon, "Jose, kaliwat ni David, ayaw kahadlok pagdawat kang Maria nga imong asawa, kay ang iyang gisabak lalang sa Espiritu Santo. Ug nahitabo kining tanan aron matuman ang giingon sa Ginoo pinaagi sa propeta nga nag-ingon: "Tan-awa, ang usa ka babayeng ulay

magsabak ug manganak og bata nga lalaki, ug ilang pagatawgon ang iyang ngalan Emmanuel," nga sa ato pa, "Ang Dios ubàn kanato."

Ug sa pagmata ni Jose, gituman niya ang gisugo sa anghel sa Ginoo ug gidawat niya ang iyang asawa.

PANGALIYA

December 18, 2022

Pari: Mga igsuon, sa dakong pagsalig, atong itugyan ang atong mga panginahanglan ngadto sa Ginoo nga atong Hari ug kanunay nagauban kanato. Sa matag pag-ampo, kita moingon: AMAHAN, KALOY-I ANG IMONG KATAWHAN.

1. Nga ang Simbahan, pinanguluhan sa atong Santo Papa Francisco, mga Obispo, mga pari ug mga relihiyoso, mamahimo unta silang maayong sumbanan sa katawhan sa Dios sa pag-ampo ug pagkamaalagaron ilabina sa mga nanginahanglan. Mag-ampo kita sa Ginoo.

2. Nga ang mga lideres sa atong panggamhanan ilabina ang atong president ug bise-presidente, giniyahan sa lamdag sa Espiritu Santo, magpadayon diha sa ilang pagkamaalagaron sa katawhan. Mag- ampo kita sa Ginoo.

3. Nga ang matag pamilya, ilabina ang anaa sa panagbingkil, makadawat sa grasya sa pakighiuli sa usa'g-usa aron mamahimong andam sa pagsaulog sa pangilin sa Pagkatawo sa atong Ginoo. Mag- ampo kita sa Ginoo.

4. Nga ang mga nagadayeg ug nagapasalamat sa Ginoo ilabina sila malamdagan unta sila sa Espiritu Santo ug nga makita nila ang Dios diha sa ilang kaguol ug kasadya. Mag-ampo kita sa Ginoo.

5. Nga ang mga igsuon nato nga mipahulay na sa kalinaw ilabina nila makaangkon na unta sila og kinabuhing dayon uban sa atong Magbubuhat didto sa langit. Mag-ampo kita sa Ginoo.

Pari: Amahan, kaloy-i ang imong katawhan. Itugot nga sa among pagpangandam sa pagsaulog namo sa pangilin sa Pagkatawo sa imong Anak, makaplagan kami nga nagkahigugmaay sa usa'g-usa. Kini among gipangayo pinaagi ni Cristo among Ginoo. Amen.

4TH SUNDAY OF ADVENT

Introduction 

December 18, 2022

Good noon/afternoon brothers and sisters in Christ!

We are now in the Fourth Sunday of Advent.

The first reading is from the Book of the Prophet Isaiah. Prophet Isaiah reminds Ahaz by saying, "The Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Emmanuel."

The second reading is from the Letter of St. Paul to the Romans. Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel.

The gospel is from the Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew. It narrates how the Virgin Mary conceive through the power of the Holy Spirit and how Joseph gently accept in becoming the father of the Savior, the Son of God.

Let us all stand to begin the Eucharistic Celebration.

FIRST READING

Is. 7:10-14

Behold, the virgin shall conceive.

A reading from the Book of the Prophet Isaiah

The LORD spoke to Ahaz, saying: Ask for a sign from the LORD, your God; let it be deep as the netherworld, or high as the sky! But Ahaz answered,

"I will not ask! I will not tempt the LORD!"

Then Isaiah said: Listen, O house of David! Is it not enough for you to weary people, must you also weary my God? Therefore the LORD himself will give you this sign: the virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall name him Emmanuel.

Jesus Christ, descended from David, is the Son of God.

Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God, which he promised previously through his prophets in the holy Scriptures, the gospel about his Son, descended from David according to the flesh, but established as Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness through resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord. Through him we have received the grace of apostleship, to bring about the obedience of faith, for the sake of his name, among all the Gentiles, among whom are you also, who are called to belong to Jesus Christ; to all the beloved of God in Rome, called to be holy. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

GOSPEL

Mt 1:18-24

Jesus will be born of Mary, the betrothed of Joseph, a son of David. 

A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew

This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about. When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found with child through the Holy Spirit.

Joseph her husband, since he was a righteous man, yet unwilling to expose her to shame, decided to divorce her quietly.

Such was his intention when, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home.

For it is through the Holy Spirit

that this child has been conceived in her. She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel, which means "God is with us."

When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took his wife into his home.

PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL

December 18, 2022

Priest: Let us offer to Jesus our "Emmanuel," God-with-us all our petitions for His presence among us is the source of consolation and strength. In every petition, we pray:

LORD JESUS, HEAR OUR PRAYER.

1. That the Church leaders especially Pope Francis, the bishops, the priest and the religious men and women, will be strengthen as they continue to strive in bringing the Gospel to all the faithful. Let us pray to the Lord.

2. That the leaders in our country, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, may be encouraged to work for the good of all. Let us pray to the Lord.

3. That each family, especially those who are struggling, experiencing injustices and rejection, may be enlightened to see your presence in everything they do and experience your consolation wherever they are. Let us pray to the Lord.

4. That those who praise and thank God especially _______________ may receive your love and forgiveness. Let us pray to the Lord.

5. That those who have gone ahead of us especially ____________ may they receive eternal life in heaven. Let us pray to the Lord.

Priest: Lord Jesus, be with us to help us build communities that reflect your Kingdom where you live and reign forever and ever. Amen.
